Investor Cercle is a waitlist page. It is deliberately built to collect as little as possible, so this page can be short and specific rather than long and vague.

What we store when you join the waitlist

Your email address, so we can tell you when your wave opens.
A timestamp, the moment you signed up, which is what fixes your position on the list.
The source parameter from the link you arrived through (the src value in the URL, for example reddit, or direct if there was none). It tells us which channels reach people who are actually interested. It says nothing about you personally.
The click details, if you arrived from one of our ads. Google adds a click identifier (gclid) to the address, and our own ad settings add the search term that matched and how it matched. We keep them so we can tell which search actually brought someone who joined. They stay on our server: nothing is reported back to Google, and they are never used to recognise you anywhere else.
The subscriptions you volunteer in the optional second step. This is optional in the real sense: skip it and nothing is stored. We use it to decide which research sources to build support for first.
A referral identifier, if you use or share a referral link, so referrals can be counted.

Legal basis

Legal basis for storing your email and optional subscription details is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given when you join the waitlist. You can withdraw it any time by mailing vienna@esoxconsult.com; we then delete your entry.

What we do not do

No cookies. This site sets none, of any kind; not even "essential" ones.
No analytics product. There is no Google Analytics, no tag manager, no pixel, no heatmap and no A/B testing tool. We do count one thing ourselves: when the pricing section scrolls into view, the page tells our own server that somebody got that far, together with the src value and nothing else. No identifier travels with it, so the count cannot be traced back to you or joined up with your other visits.
No external scripts or fonts. Everything on this page is served from our own domain. Your browser contacts no one else, so no one else can profile you here.
No tracking across sites and no profiling. The single advertising identifier we hold is the click id described above, kept only for a visit that came from one of our own ads. It stays here, it is never sent onward, and it follows you nowhere.
No sale, rental or sharing of your address with anybody, ever. No third-party mailing platform holds this list.

The spam check

When the page loads, our own server hands your browser a short-lived ticket, and your browser returns it with your signup. That is the whole mechanism. You never see it, it costs no measurable time, and there is nothing to solve, type or click.

This is deliberately not a reCAPTCHA or similar. No third party is contacted, nothing is written to your device, and nothing about you is measured, scored or recorded. You are not being judged on how human you look. The ticket exists for one reason: so that automated scripts cannot post at our signup address directly, and the waitlist stays a list of people.

Server logs

Like any web server, ours records that a page was requested: the time, the page, the src parameter and, for a visit that came from one of our ads, the click details named above. A second, separate line is written when the pricing section comes into view. We use all of it for one purpose only, to compare how many people saw the page against how many joined the list, per channel. We do not write your IP address to either log. Your IP is held briefly in memory to limit abusive request rates and is never stored.

How long we keep it

Until the waitlist has served its purpose, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. If Investor Cercle does not launch, the list is deleted and everyone on it is told so.

Emails you will get

One or two, in total. One when your wave opens, and possibly one before that if we need to ask you something about your sources. There is no newsletter and no drip campaign. You do not need to unsubscribe from something we are not sending.

Deletion, correction, access

Write one line to vienna@esoxconsult.com and we will delete your entry, correct it, or send you everything we hold about you. No form, no account, no justification needed. Under the GDPR you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde).
